Combo Deck: Guardians of the Galaxy
Decided to jump around just a little bit. This one is tough, definitely, not because there aren't really good cards for each character, because there kind of is...but that doesn't mean they fit perfectly with each other really lol. So part of the choices here won't reflect the very best card for each charcter necessarily, but the best choice for hopefully minimizing crummy procs lol.
So, this set up is really just about the best you can do. Making sure Star Lord isn't one of his usual speed versions so that IF Gamora procs, at least it will be 3 cards instead of 2. Drax has an ok proc, and Star Lord may be kinda crappy, but at least it would hit everyone.
Combo Deck: Hungry For Death
I was originally going to consider putting together a lower tier deck for this combo since most of the combinations I see are pretty obvious...but then I realized there really aren't any lower tier Thanos cards lol. So, we're going all legend anyway. And with only two Venom cards at that tier, I'm going to go with [Symbiote] Venom as the star, as though it was the only legend I had, and compliment that then obviously with [Death Lover] Thanos.
Boost Recordings - Future Conqueror Iron Lad
Happened to have two so I figured why not, rather than just shaft them?
Boost Recordings - Ms. Marvel
Maybe, what I'll end up doing is just recording a couple at each PWR level. That seems like a decent idea. I can't remember at this point if I said that already or not lol.
Unlike most others I've done, I mastered her already.
More dung growth!
Combo Bonus Valor
This will be tied in to the Valor Tracking blog since it really still falls under the same subject.
So, I wanted to just track what each successive combo level will basically net you for valor, since it at least appeared to be a pretty simple growth scheme based on what few recordings I had on that other blog 1=0, 2=1, 3=3, so I figured there'd be an easy pattern to get down, and there may very well still be...but...
I made up an AP17 deck for no other reason than that it divided into my max AP perfectly for a decent amount of hits to record...naturally since you have to win to see what you'd get at each level this meant I had to attack somebody with a DEF of 10 (or so), which was easy enough.
The problem became that I got no combo bonus val…
Combo Deck: Electromagnetic
And now a combo that's dear to my heart, since it's what I've been running for a few months now. However, because I've been running this for a while, I think I'm going to go the route of where I'd want to go if I actually had the ability to do so, and then I'll follow it up with just a different take on the combo since I'm sure everyone is running a pretty standard one for the most part.
I like how both of these came out. They're both a little different but they'd be pretty functional I think. :)
Now if only we had the fused form of Instincts Beast on this site lol.
Combo Deck: Disparaging Taunt
Another kind of tough one. There are more high-end card choices for Moonstone than there are for Mockingbird, but it's still a matter of how she'll mesh with Hawkeye, and there's still no great choices in that regard. For this combo, I'm going with [Dark Marvel] Moonstone over the higher rarity card just because it should be able to work better with her partner, whom in this case will be [Skilled Marksman] Hawkeye. Now, I do dislike any group shots that won't hit everybody, but at least he's got a lower chance of going off at all...so, maybe I can get away with that...and, even though the CT activates for Speed cards only, maybe it'd make more sense to load up on Tactics cards (that hopefully degrade) in the hopes that IF Hawkeye goes off,…
Combo Deck Concepts
DrPsyPhi has done similar (and very nice) posts on his own profile. I kept meaning to as well, especially when they really started pushing out new combos, but I was just too busy (read:lazy). I wanted to make a deck for every combo and have them all be a little bit different if possible. I do mean every combo as well, trying to make all of them as plausible as possible to me, even if that means assuming that it's for a lower tier player (since some cards don't come high enough for players at certain levels to warrant using).
For purposes of these blogs, I'm thinking once the combo is decided, I'm going to keep the rarity of all cards within about the same bracket to make it somewhat realistic to what people in general tiers have to work wi…
Combo Deck: Assassins
So, here's the start.
Assassins
Considering the best Mockingbird card there even is in the game at the moment is Super Soldier Mockingbird I had to make the decision to build it around her as the primary, with the choice of Hawkeye complimenting her in order for the combo to work out at all. This, of course, can present some problems as they're differing alignments. Since I absolutely hate boosts that don't hit all allies, I decided to go with Trick Shot Hawkeye since his ability was useless, and I think it's still up in the air whether or not a card without an applicable ability can steal a proc at all, that seems like a decent tactical decision.
Not going to win any awards or anything, and I tried to stick with sort of an assassin theme...…
Ability Levels' Affect on Proc Rate
It's already proven that ability level does have an affect on proc level. Now it's time to get more data to see how much. This will start as one blog, but if more data gathering sessions come of it (which I think is possible, if not likely) then I'll make this a hub as usual. Major props go to DrPsyPhi for directing this particular side of the project and helping to shovel up all the data I keep collecting and not doing much with afterwards lol. :)
So, for this run, I'll be using Sapiens Superior Magneto at skill 10, Mistress Death at skill 9, and Obsessive Hate Sabretooth at skill 5.

Abilities Effects
Since I've already done the more difficult job of working out the usage for abilities (how often the activate), I'll turn now to a request I've recently had to clarify the Effects (how much they boost or degrade when they activate).
Rarity across the top, the effect listed on the left column. A DUAL effect means that the ability affects BOTH ATK AND DEF. Otherwise, it will only do one. So the row labeled "Alignment & Dual Faction" should be used to note the impact of a card that affects EITHER the ATK OR DEF of an ALIGNMENT (FF Wolverine, SC Spider-man, that She-hulk, PD Dr. Strange, etc.) and the #'s in that row are also the same for cards that have an effect on HEROES or VILLAINS with their ATK AND DEF (e.g. MODOK, Nightmare [note: these …
Boost Recordings - Like Father, Like Daughter Red She-Hulk
Another one, just cause!
Now that I'm thinking about it, after the cards for my combo testing deck are done (which...technically won't be right away since I'll be redoing it as my ATK increases to keep things even and cost effective basically) I may try to fill in the spaces with cards of PWR that I hadn't done yet...or, maybe using the same card but improperly fused to see if the amounts are still the same.
Boost Recordings - Child of Destiny Hellcat
Another UC+ since I'm building a tiny deck to study combos at some point, that and I'm curious about whether or not the scaling thing will happen to another UC+ like it did with Psylocke, or maybe it's an older card thing.
The Ineptitude Chronicles!!!
Ok, I'm breaking away from the data collection for a minute to vent. I realize it's not even particularly noteworthy to speak of how incredibly worthless the support for the game is, but I kind of wanted to keep a record right here on the wiki, so just on the off-chance any of the game runners DO happen to come onto this site (doubtful) then maybe they'll see this post and actually THINK (even more doubtful) to make improvements. I'm green, they're whatever the most butt-ugly color I can think of to make their text turns out to be. The conversations will generally start with them since my inquiries are sent via phone, I only have emails of their response to that and my responses to those. Now turned into a hub! :D

Boost Recordings - Obsessive Hate Sabretooth
Back to another SSR+ for now, and then I'll probably go ahead and pick out a couple commons from my mission tracking to record.
Confirmed proc boost rates
At sk10:
UL hero/villain atk boost - 41.4%
UL alignment atk boost - 36%
UR hero/villain atk 28.8%
UR alignment atk boost 25.5%
Boost Recordings - Ho Ho Ho Spider-Man
Because I was going to use him for other testing anyway...and possibly a filler defense card for next Intercept Trial since I've otherwise not got much to work with. :P
This one could be interesting since he's technically an SR+, but only goes up to level 40 and has stats after fusion that are much closer to an R+, and unfortunately I have this one mastered already so that might mess up comparison a little as well (along with the fact he was a special card to begin with).
Accidentally used too many cards on the last boost and it gave an ultimate boost...not that I care much because holy cow what an absolute garbage card this is. I mean, we all know Mystique is a broken card, but WOW, this is quite truly the WORST card in the game for its rar…
UCP pull tracking
Tracking pull totals and rates for UCPs and SUCPs - using personal pulls only. The columns to the right with R are Raider (Danger/Valiant/etc.) pulls
Boost Recordings - Wolverine
Time to hit a lower rarity (as though anybody actually cares about ANYTHING lower than UR+...well...maybe even SSR+ to be fair) and since I just happened to pull 2 of these while getting cards to finish Daredevil, figured why not? Plus he's an older card, like Mystique, and I'd been doing mostly very new cards so maybe things have changed?
Nothing odd about this one.
Boost Recordings - In the Shadows Daredevil
Time for another SR+ to be charted.
Interesting. Linear, but also both stats change as though they're pulled from the same pool, rising for one as the other falls.
Boost Recordings - Bloody Hands Punisher
Time for a not-gimped SSR+
I'm somewhat please that the last card I tracked actually had VERY linear growth. Guess we'll see what this one looks like.
Yet another VERY linear card.
Boost Recordings - Alias Jewel Jessica Jones
So, we've got one Leg+, and an SSR+ (though I'll probably try and do at least two of each rarity that I can just for good measure...and maybe three at the SSR+ level since we all know Mystique is a broken card). So here's the SR+ first run.
Tenacity Tracking - April 2014
Figured this would simplify things. Other blog is now a hub, and I'll just break up each month.
Low Proc on Center Test
So, I realized that the way a blog post previews, if you don't have a large block of text a the top, it will take the next chunk of characters (with all the hard returns) as a previews. When you have a table up top (as I did before this edit), that can be very unseemly, and I can certainly be verbose enough to add a bit of an introduction here (I am, after all, a Dr, we like hear the sound of our own voices!).
So my strategy in this (and, possibly, in future posts, if I get the gumption up) is to test 3 or less cards at a time. As I detailed earlier (note to self, put link here to earlier blog post at some point, you lazy bum), due to the 3 proc limit, decks of 4 or 5 cards have a "suppression effect" on the usage of the last two cards cho…
Spider-Man vs. Wolverine
With "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" and "X-Men: Days of Future Past" both hitting theaters this year, why not pit a heavy hitter from each movie against each other? If you remember this Batman vs. Superman post on DC, things can get heated when fans of superheroes start battling!
For this versus battle, it's Spider-Man against Wolverine! Each has strengths and weaknesses, but which one do YOU think would come out the winner in the end? Check out the battle on Marvel Wikia and vote now!
Survival Trials - Novice League - Skill Activation
This is a test I've started running having to do with the Survival Trials. I am tracking which card skills activate based on which position they are assigned. I am only running the test with two cards.
[Skrull Hostage] Elektra, 10/110
[Otherworlder] Psylocke, 10/110
I picked these cards because their skills have the same usage (Relatively High), they were all skill 10, and all amount to the same boost (Extremely strengthen ATK of your Tactics). I always put the two cards in the same places, Elektra on the left, Psylocke in the middle.

PROC rates -- Skipping to the good parts
So, as I may have mentioned, I've been recording battles. I've also been analyzing Shinji's excellent work (http://marvel-war-of-heroes.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:ShinjiTakeyama/Position_Effecting_Ability_Research). I also made a handy proc simulator (part of a larger battle sim since it needs updating -- i figure we need to get the proc rates sorted first).
I thought about posting the raw data from my own trials and walking everyone through my spreadsheets and thought processes, but my mind's a scary place (it's something like two dozen spreadsheets over several files), so I thought, maybe I'll just start with the good stuff, the bottom line, the "take-aways" and we maybe post data later and we can hash out specifics in the comments or in an…
Stealing and suppressing
So survival trial are fun for another reason -- an opportunity for a lot of testing!
It looks like they've just imported the regular battle architecture but limited you to 3 cards, which creates a great "experiment" and is very instructive. Let's see what we can glean:
- Center cards (i.e. the middle one in expert) still get doubled chances at activation
- Because you have a limit of 3 procs per battle, in expert mode, you do not have an chance for "stealing" a proc -- i.e. a process whereby a 4th (or 5th) card does not get a chance to proc because the limit of three has already been reached. [Suppressed might be a better term for this, but that's also the term used here for using a card that can't proc because of alignment issues, see: http://ma…

Two kinds of PROC rates
So when going through various postings and commentary on PROC (Programmed Random OCcurrences) and their rates, it seems that there is not necessarily a clear idea or sense of what is meant by "rate" and when % are thrown around in theory, it makes those of us who are theoretical scientists stop and think (to be fair, [i]everything[/i] makes us theoretical types stop and think ;)
Not following? Do a though experiment with me. A card could have a 100% PROGRAMMED rate of "proc-ing" (having it's ability go off in a battle) [no card does have that high of a rate, but this is a thought experiment, not a practical one, do keep up]. If that's the PROC rate built into the program card, how often will it APPEAR to "proc" to an end user?
Depends where …
Tenacity Tracking
Because...why not? I guess...lol
For more numbers on this subject...well, I guess look over here!
So, even though I'm not sure I see a point entirely in trying to crack something that's probably Mobage's most random of creations (and also a real pain in my Ascend.
Anyway, so I'll try and record what dropped and when from just the tenacity pack every day, and then the super drop on the 7th, marked by a red background.
I was thinking of just recording the rarity...but then, why not put down the actual cards? I've gotten two of the exact same card in a row on several occasions, which if it was just measuring card rarity you'd think would be pretty strange odds to roll, right?

Reptile Brain Lizard + Left Trait Iceman Part 2
I forgot to mention that I've at least verified that you can have as little as a two card deck have its ct activate.
Survival Trials - Expert League - Skill Activation
This is a test I've started running having to do with the Survival Trials. I am tracking which card skills activate based on which position they are assigned. I am only running the test with three cards.
[Skrull Hostage] Elektra, 10/110
[Otherworlder] Psylocke, 10/110
[Thief of Orleans] Gambit, 10/110
I picked these cards because their skills all have the same usage (Relatively High), they were all skill 10, and all amount to the same boost (Extremely strengthen ATK of your Tactics). I always put the three cards in the same places, Elektra in the middle, Psylocke on the left, Gambit on the right.
Valor Tracking
Also see: Combo Bonus Valor Don't know why it's taken me so long to do this, I really don't. This isn't going to probably be very well organized or thought out like some of my other projects, but, whatever. It's better to just get the numbers I saw down now and I can sort out something for next war maybe.
So, first thing I noticed was that on a given enemy, once you've hit the combo boost threshold (appears to be at 25 hits) you'll get the same amount of valor per ATK point regardless of what deck you use.
On an offense leader, level 84, with a DEF of 153 I used three different decks. My full attack deck (160) my "remainder" deck, that I made to account for what ATK I had left after 2 full attacks (113), and a deck I made just to have 4 eve…
Level Boosting through the use of Feeders
The following tables are to illustrate the percentage chances of skill increase when using various feeder cards and what skill levels they possess. These tables can also be found: On neoseeker by lopezandym. A high majority of these percentages have been verified personally by me.
- 1 Percentage increase per card when using a card two rarities above the Base Card
- 2 Percentage increase per card when using a card one rarity above the Base Card
- 3 Percentage increase per card when using a card of the same rarity as the Base Card
- 4 Percentage increase per card when using a card one rarity below the Base Card
- 5 Percentage increase per card when using a card two rarities below the Base Card
- 6 Percentage increase per card when using a card three rarities below …

Rather than wait until I have however many hundreds of battles done, I might as well start one of these now.
